Central Stockport
Three types of official and semi-official records of local service personnel are included here:

-
War memorials and other lists of the war dead

-
Rolls of Honour

-
Published lists of servicemen

1. War memorials and other lists of the war dead
Unlike the Stockport suburbs, the central area has no separate civic memorials for the various districts, but the war dead were recorded on numerous church, associative, and other memorials. Some of these unfortunately no longer exist, but have been recreated below based on contemporary newspaper accounts of their unveiling.
